New lights

I'm fitting new lights in my living room. The ceiling connection has earth, neutral, live - the lights themselves earth, neutral, live as you would expect, but then an extra earth wire, coming out of the rose fixture itself.

Help! I have no idea what to do...

Not sure what you mean by 'coming out of the rose fixture'. Can you perhaps post a picture?

Connect all the earth wires (g/y) together.

Oops... just re-read the original post and noticed the word 'earth' in there that I didn't see before. I must be going mad! Disregard my first reply
