new lintel, how to fix door lining to it

I need to cut a new dooway in a blockwork wall. The wall is only single storey (bungalow) and only supports ceiling joists. I need to install a lintel first but wondered what to use. If i use a normal concrete lintel, how do i fix the timber door linings to the underside of it? Can i use timber to form the lintel as i can obviously simply screw to this? What shold i use

Why do you want to fix the head? The jambs do all the work.

I assumed that there would be a small degree of sag in the middle
sounds like job should be easy then.
