Then again ... you already have Building Control taking care of the regs, and an engineer to make sure it's properly specced. Neither of them will be interested in the Party Wall Act.
My last loft conversion was done by a joiner who specialised in loft conversions and had done loads, with and without things hanging off party walls. He'd never heard of the Party Wall Act either. I wonder if your neighbours have, and even if they have, will they be aware of you fixing a few bolts into the wall? My case was a bit different because of the need to bray chunks out of the wall, to fit padstones.
