Hi

I live in a 1890s end terrace and my roof is leaking. It appears to be a yorkshire slate roof.

Is it worthwhile getting the roof patched up with replacement slate tiles, or would the exisiting roof be worth something towards an entire new roof?

Ta

1st it all depends if you've got a few grand spare, if not patching up is ok ( cheeper ) if your existing slates are in good condition then there's no point re-roofing.

Dunno about the value, but welsh slate is worth a few bob  Have you considered having it all stripped and the front done with the best slates and the back done with new /repro slates.......then keep/sell the remainder of the good slates.......that`s done quite a bit down here with peg tiled roofs
