new patio

ok this will be over months so i thought id start with before pics. I have bought a mixture of sizes and colours of indian sandstone so it may be a tough job.

no thats not a gas pipe, it is an old sleeve for a defunct electric cable.

shame i have to keep a border by house though, it would have meant shifting a lot of earth to get the ground low enough to be well below damp course. I have dug a trench along side of house and filled with shingle, i may put a bit of topsoil and plant a border along it.
