I could do with some advice on a project I am undertaking.

I am about to take over a commercial property and the building is a sandstone building built some 700 years ago.

Problem is that Heritage won't let me plaster the walls inside (which is fair enough). Because of the nature of the business, a food prep area. To satisfy the environmental health we have to find some way of stabilizing the very flakey walls and take of all the mortar thats loose. Is there some transparent way I can do this that would satisfy English heritage and enviromental health.

I was thinking a pva Glue Mix but I'm not sure this would suffice.

Thanks for any advice

can you not 'screen' the area with temporary or free standing walling of some description?
