I've just got a few new uPVC windows in. Amongst the fitters here, is this now common practise for the people who assemble these to put the lock catches in the wrong bloody place meaning that they clash with the mechanism on the opener? Most I've bought lately all needed moving up or down about 5mm or so!

Poor fabrication but also check the toe and heeling, may be too much or too little, I've know some fabs to not even screw them in place just leaving them clipped in the grooves

I must say lately, there are imperfections which are revealed once the tape is taken off, but we don't sign for them with the tape off. On one of them, the plastic weld on the bottom vertical is a few mm towards one of the openers and that's the opener which is catching. I might have to get the supplier to take a look at that one.
