as title, had a radiator and pipes replaced (so they go under the floor rather than above), once fitted the boiler no longer works

the red LED indicates 'shutdown due to insufficient water circulation' and the yellow LED indicates ' temporary shutdown due to defective discharge of exhaust fumes'.

the plumber who swapped the radiator said he didn't do anything that would cause that fault... obviously it's an old boiler but before he came round i had working heating and hot water and now i have neither...

does anyone have any insight on why replacing a radiator might result in that fault?

The boiler might be full of trapped air.
Run the heating and open the hot tap every minute or so. Keep reseting it and with luck it might solve the problem.

Have you bled all the radiators and topped up the pressure?

Thanks for the replies. The guy who swapped out the radiator and installed new pipes isn't gas safe registered. So he did what he could before departing for his next job. Before leaving he phoned for his mate (who is gas safe registered) to come round and diagnose / fix the problem, but he couldn't.

Another guy came out this morning and managed to get it working again. Turns out the CH dial was set to off on the boiler but the dial indicated it was on (the plastic has snapped / degraded so it's not actually turning the knob how you would expect it to, so I assume the plumber who installed the radiator accidentally set it to this position when trying to get the heating back on).

Still wouldn't explain why the hot water didn't fire though. The warning light indicated low pressure but pressure was fine, so maybe the PCB is on the fritz. Either way, it's fixed, but the guy who fixed it isn't 100% sure why it's fixed.

Probably time for a new boiler anyway as it's ancient and the controls / dials on the front panel are all knackered.
