Hi

We have just had fitted a Salamander water pump to boost the pressure in the airing cupboard - works great, but the noise (mainly a gentle hum) runs through the house. There are flexible couplings, so most of the noise seems to be transmitted through the floor. I have tried foam and carpet - any other suggestions on how to dampen the vibration? I have had the suggestion of a paving slab on top of carpet, which was my next move, but if you have an easier idea it would be most welcome!

hi might sound a silly idea but this might work for you and is an easy and cheap way to solve this prob try placing an old hot water bottle under pump with just enough water to take weight but not to muth so that its unstable flexys shoud keep it in place thou you never know might work let me know how you get on coz ive just fitted on but its not up and running yet.

what is the salander pumping a shower or all the hot water out of ya cylinder or cold water in.

I do have to say that I would use the traditional paving slab and foam rubber at least 20 mm thick!
