We need a new shower hose for our Grohe shower, but as i am not sure what hose we have at present i have been looking online for a replacement, but there are two different types one with an 8mm bore and another with a 12mm bore, so does it matter which one i choose, will the 8mm one give the same amount of water flow as the 12mm one?

Cant you see what your current one is 
Both hoses will fit but the 12mm bore will allow more water through.

Not if you've got a poor flow rate to start with but it can't make it worse
