Hi,
I am a plasterer by trade so forgive me if I am not using the correct "electrical" terms.
I have recently brought a house that had a sauna in one room, the sauna has now been ripped out and the room is now ready for decoration.
My only question is now there is a main wire coming out the floor (this was used for the sauna heater)
Can I just chase the wire into the wall and add a socket to it?
Thanks

Likely Yes, you may need to down grade the MCB/Fuse/RCBO normally sockets have no bigger than a 32A feed, you may need a RCD socket although one would hope already RCD protected. But 9 times out of 10 simply replacing with a socket will do the job.

Thanks for your reply,
As I said I'm no electrician so that went a bit over my head.
I have taken a pic of the fuse box, maybe that will help.
The switch labeled "sauna supply" goes to the wire in question.

That should be fine - it's on an RCD and it's a 32A breaker.

Ideally though there should be a few quick tests done on the circuit to make sure that it is OK.

Via your life as a plasterer do you know any electricians who could give it the once-over for you? It would only be a few minutes job for them to check it.
