I am about to embark on creating a new ensuite in a bedroom which backs on to my bathroom. My soil stack is currently in the corner of the bathroom, right next to the wall between the bedroom where i will make the ensuite. so I want to put in a new wc on the other side of the wall, in the current bedroom and run a 110 waste pipe through the wall into the current stack. Problem is its a solid block wall, so presumably a supporting wall? I dont mind creating a suitable hole in the wall but my question is am I going to compromise things structurally by making a hole of 110mm, or slightly larger, and how does this tie in with building regs?

110 mm is less than a brick length, so no structural problems unless you are going diagonally through a corner. Hire a core drill for the day.

You should notify Planning first since this is a new installation - they will advise the need for any further information.
