I appear to have an air lock in my central heating system after a plumber carried out some work on Xmas Eve (£75, cheap, bargain!).
The trouble is, it's a new rad and I don't know how to open and close the lock shield valve. I have taken off the plastic cap and instead of the traditional rounded bit of metal with a flat edge poking up, there's a round threaded small pipe. I don't want to turn it with pliers in case I spoil the thread. How do you open and close these valves?
Cheers!
Chris
