hiya all, need to replace my toilet in the on suite soon! it has the water supply on the right hand side (looking at the front of the toilet)

is it just disconnect the toilet and put a new one in?!

is there a washer in the compression type (shut off valve)

any tips please?!

do most toilets have the outlet on the right, dont really want to cut the copper and put a flexi on,

thanks/

Depends how confident you are but no reason you can't DIY.

The cold inlet could be on the left or right just ensure the one you are buying has it where you want it. It will probably still need some modification though as it is unlikely to be in exactly the same position.

The bigger problem can be the soil connection. Pretty simple if it's a modern pan connector, not so easy if it's not.

Compression type shut off valve? If stopcock, yes it has a washer.

its just a shut off valve that you turn with a screwdriver!

the toilet is only 13 years old and in a modern house!

hoping its just easy and a replacement can be put in,

are the chances of the water outlet fitting the new item slim?!

Soil pipe should be ok, but the inlet is unlikely to be in exactly the same position.

^^ so if the supply is in the wrong place - what is best suggestion ??

turn mains off
cut pipe
fit pushfit with isolating valve on it and connect to toilet
do away with overflow (as they come with them these days)

have i missed anything??!!

I'm not a fan of flexi connectors but the one you have shown would work.

Personal preference. But as I said it will work ok.
