Recently had new windows fitted, noticed one window keeps blowing open in the wind. Went to tighten the friction grub screw and found it doesn't tighten, it keeps spinning. I guess the plastic housing is worn, but no idea how as they're new windows and I've not touched the screw before.

Going to call the fitter to take a look as it'll be under warranty, but is there anything that can be done, short of replacing the hinge mechanism? Could I fix it at home without having to call them out to take a look? See attached for the screw in question.

No picture but if its spinning then its stripped and needs a new hinge, 20min job
