I've got a horizontally hinged circular wooden window in a bathroom. It's about 40cm diameter and doesn't have a catch or stay. When closed it simply stays put, largely due to gravity with a little bit of help from friction around the seals.

The problem is that we often want to keep it open for ventilation, but the wind easily blows it shut again.

My first thought was to tighten the screws at the hinge points, but they won't budge.

Is there any sort of window stay or catch for such a window ?

A conventional straight stay won't work because the window is rather small in diameter and the stone wall it's in is quite thick.

I've tried Googling for scissor stay and what seems to keep cropping up is what I would regard as the normal hinge mechanism for UPVC windows.

Are you able to post a link to a supplier or image of the sort of stay that you're suggesting ?

Many thanks
