 hi folks, i installed the taps a few years back, but the basin cold is seizing . they are victorian style 4 arms accross type with a ceramic oldie worldy cap, i have tried without success to pry/ping em off and now have chipped the ceramic, what am i doing wrong???

the head is secured in one of two places, either look under the crosshead for a tiny slotted screw holding the crosshead onto the stem horizontally, remember to look all the way round, or remove the central disc on top of the head and remove the phillips screw holding the head vertically, (the disc hiding the vertical phillips screw will either prise off or unscrew) once you have found the screw and removed it the crosshead can still be very tight and difficult to remove
