Hi all, looking for advice.
We previously had electricity in our garage. 3 yrs ago we pulled the garage down as we were building an extension and just last weekend my husband put electricity into the shed which replaced the garage. We took advice from an electrician but have done all the work ourselves....are we in a dodgy position insurance wise as this did involve changing a circuit breaker in the fuse box? Totally confused and unsure if everything is in order or if we need to comply with 'official stuff' or not....we live in Scotland if that affects anything!
Cheers for your advice.

A new circuit requires an EIC / electrical installation certificate. If there's fault, fire or injury then the insurance won't pay unless you can prove the work was done to the regs.

It is in your interest to validate the work with a cert.
