nissan micra stop light

the stop light on my micra is no lighting up this is the one high up on back window fitted new bulb still will not light up

Often a bulb to bulb holder problem, this one...get someone to press the brake pedal when you waggle the bulb.
If no joy, try for 12v at the central pip carefully - if you short it out then a fuse pops.
If no 12v, then the cable, which passes through the tail gate grommets, has likely severed due to movement every time the tail gate is opened.
