Want to move a light switch on a lath and plaster stud wall. Thought about cheating with a dry lining backbox although the ones I have been looking at seem to have no earth. Why is that and what do you do with the earth cable?

if my memory serves me correct, plastic is an insulator

sleeve earth cable and put in a choc bloc, or the earth terminal of switch if there is 1

The lightswitches I have used have an earth terminal, so I just used that.
