no heating after removing old disused thermostat??? Help!

we are currently redecorating and we had and old room thermostat in the lounge that does not control the system (the new working one is in the hallway). we removed it from the wall. taped up wires then filled hole in thinking nothing of it,as when they installed the system the guy told us we could do this as the thermo wasnt doin anything.
Well have woke up today and it freeezing we have hot water but no heating, could it have something to do with that, i dunno,
any help would be appreciated
oh by the way its a Glow-worm 1.8si
and the pressure is 0.7

as you have not mention disconnecting the other end of the wires I suspect it may be.
 
Try increasing the boiler pressure to 1.5 bar

yes it has started to warm up now but just stops when rads are warm, think it probably to do with the pressure although it has worked fine on 0.8 bar for the past year,
