We have replaced our Sunvic 3 way motorised valve, and had an electrician wire it up for us. Unfortunately we get central heating but no hot water. When we turn the room thermostat down, we should just get hot water but instead the central heating stays on and still no hot water. Please can anyone advise?
many thanks

Actually you may be able to advise us - Previously, before we replaced the valve, our heating system never seemed to work properly. When the room stat was turned up we could have heating and hot water, when turned down just hot water. But, when the hot water cylinder reached temperature, the whole system shut down. The only way you could get central heating ro come back on, was to either turn up the cylinder stat or run off hot water. The electrician thought he had fixed this by putting an extra 'live' connection to the central heating, but now we have no hot water. As you advised it seems to be wired incorrectly, but is it possible for the heating to stay on after cylinder reaches temp?
