CH is fine but no HW on an indirect system with no header tank and a Valiant boiler.

I have 2 motorised valves in the airing cupboard with manual override levers.

Can I use manual override in some way to determine if the CH motorised valve needs changing?

2. If so, will just changing the electrical part of the motorised valve work or do I need to drain down and change the whole 22mm valve and body?

Thanks for any help.

1. Yes
2. Maybe - could just be the motor or microswitch.

Don't change the CH motorised valve, that's the one that's working.

Is the cylinder stat calling for heat?

If your unsure if its the motor or the micro switches then I would say its better to drain and replace the complete valve. You know then its going to work and be good for years to come.
Do it right, do it once
