Hello,

Could anyone suggest why the above mc wont heat the cold water.

I have tested the heating element ( 30 Ohms) so assume its ok. Physically it looks fine as well. There is a probe (temp. sensor?) in the same rubber seal which reads open circuit so could this be the bit which is messing me about?

The dryer side of the mc has packed up 3 times in as many years so I not to surprised something else has gone kaput!

Many thanks to any help forthcoming.

how do you know its not heating the water :?: if its not heating you will get a error light

Hello rocks1,
no error lights but F13 only showed up once in 3 identical dryer faults so I sadly have little faith in them. As for heating up the water, even with an insulated door you can still feel warmth especially on 95 cottons program. Cold drum on opening and some clothes not washed also.

when did you open the door at the end of wash if so cold water goes on the rinse ,can you put it on 60 degrees and wait about 15 mins open dispenser draw and listen for a hissing sound that is the element coming on .30 ohms is correct heater is working .let me know wot you find also after 30 mins you can put it onto a drain cycle and feel the waste pipe is it hot / warm :?

Hello rocks1,
Had to leave it in bits over weekend but it has just been put together and followed your instructions. The element did have voltage across it for a few moments at start of cycle but at 15 mins there was no hissing and no voltage. The element still checks out 30 ohms. If the thermistor is disconnected F3 comes up. Could it be this bit gone wonky when in line?
All advice gratefully recieved!
