Hi, new to plumbing but after lots of researching on the web I decided I could remove a radiator myself without causing too much of a disaster. Oh how I regret this decision, the missus has been making my ears burn all afternoon!

I switched off the boiler (Baxi WM38/3) and turned off all the stop taps I could find in the airing cupboard to be on the safe side. I then ran the hot taps and at the same time bled the water out of the heating system. I've removed the radiator that is no longer needed and connected the input/output copper pipes together and put everything back how it was when I started (Minus radiator of course.)

The problem I have now is that there is no water whatsoever from my hot taps.
I was advised it could be an airlock and to feed the mains cold back up the hot tap which I did for 60 seconds but still have no hot water.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :?

You do not connect them together

They should be just capped off.

Persevere with the mains water on your air lock and make sure your header tank is full of water :D

You will have forgotton to re-open one of the valves in the airing cupboard - go round and check them again.

almost certainly the one in the pipe that feeds cold water from the loft to the hot water cylinder. You didn't even need to close this one!

Thanks for your help guys. All back up and running again now.

I blocked the mixer tap on the bath for about 5 mins to force the cold water up around the hot system, could hear glugging etc from the boiler and then when I unblocked the tap after about 20 seconds, It came through hot :D
