no hot water without CH being on

No hot water to shower without CH on (Combi) this occurs early am, daft thing is tap water is hot.
Then all seems to be ok in the afternoon???

How mad is this, anybody got any clues as to the problem?

You need to post more info, what boiler, what shower, when shower is running cold do you meanthe tap runs hot at the same time
