Are both the reds connected together and to nothing else, black neutral to one side of the lamp and black (sleeved red) switch live to the other side of the lamp? I take it you are ignoring the earth wires for clarity, these should both be connected to the earth terminal.
All sorted.
One of the black wires had come loose from the transformer. All wires are connected properly and all working again.
Amazing how it all works when you make sure all the connections are good
