No lights show on panel

Hello

My boiler is an Ariston Euro combi A23.

Central Heating Okay but not used for a while due to recent unusual good temperature, mainly only hot water.

All of a sudden, no hot water.

I checked fuses etc.

I then noticed that when I remove the 3/wire plug connection to the clock/timer the boiler fires up and comes on perfectly.

Reconnect the 3/wire plug and the boiler switches off. Repeat the procedure same thing happens.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
