Hello

I painted my house about 2 years ago straight onto bare plaster without a thinned coat first, but I didn't know this had to be done until now! Anyway the walls are currently white and know want to paint a colour over them. So do I :

1 Go ahead and paint and look out for problems and fix them when they happen?

2 Scrape of paint and start again?

3 Re skim walls?

Any thoughts and ideas would be helpful.

Thanks Phil

If you've got no problem simply paint them. It's not always critical to thin the first coat down.

I have no signs of cracking or peeling paint, only hairline cracks between wall/ceiling which I understand is common anyway.

Thanks for your reply.

Phil
