no pollen filter

I have a 1999 Renault scenic i haven't replaced the pollen filter,is this gonna damage anything using it without? i never have it on max setting with the filter out.

There won't be any particular damage, but the fins on air con evaporator will block up more easily than they would if it was there - and it would be difficult to get the leaves etc out! I'd replace it, personally.

and without it in situ,you can get engine fumes/outside smells into the cabin aswell.
