Hi,
I swapped the old non-working thermostat over today. There were three incoming wires - red (permanent live), yellow (switched live) and blue (neutral?). I think I messed up by connecting so that the red and blue shorted when the stat was turned up. This tripped the breaker at the consumer unit and now what was the permanent live has no power at all. The timer unit in the boiler unit (supplied through a switched fcu) still works (at least the display does).
Anyone got any ideas what has happened? Is there normally a fuse inside the actual boiler or have I frazzled the circuit board?
Thanks.
