hi i have recently installed a new kitchen sink. I have turned off water from main stop cock from outside. When turning back on i have no hot or cold water in bathroom and no hot water in the kitchen only cold! It is an indirect cold water system with a vented hot water cylinder. All stop cocks have been opened. Can anyone help?

Gate valves not open or busted :?:

Did you turn any gate valves off extra tight

When you turn them on (anti-clockwise) do they just keep turning or do they stop

They turn for quite a while but do stop. After about half an hour of not opening the taps and then opening them, water seems to be there with no pressure and then stops? Thanks

Hi is it possible for the stop cock to break when closing and stay on the closed position then when opening feels as normal? I think this may have happened in the hot water cupboard but not certain, Any help or advice much appreciated

If you have an air lock provided the washing machine is mains fed, you can just link the hot and cold together.

Open the bath tap and turn both washing machine taps on this should push the air out through the bath tap.

The cold will be slightly harder as you have to find a way of connecting to the mains

Ok i will give that a try tomorrow and if fails will check stop cocks again.

Thanks for the help....
