I have an Ideal Elan 2 boiler which has started to make funny noises when hot water and central heating are on together.
The boiler fires up and after a minute i get a loud kettling noise and then a squeaking noise just as the boiler shuts down ( the inlet and outlet water pipes get very hot ).
Any suggestions as to the cause of this problem and possible remedies would be very helpful.
A new pump was installed and fernox inhibitor was added last January.
Also one of the radiators downstairs gets warm at the top but cold at the bottom.
