Noisy Ferolli Sigma 60/100

Hi,

I would very much like you to be able to guide me in the correct dirention of diagnosis:-

I have a Ferroli sigma 60/100 boiler. From startup it runs fine for about 20 to 25 mins then starts to make a chuffing sound. Difficult to describe in words but it is rather like a steam engine. If you place your hand on the boiler when this noise occurs you can also feel the same pulsating at a frequecy of about once every 2 secs. Although the boiler is mounted on an external wall, it resonates throughout our timber frame house...very annoying. The boiler is 4 years old.

Please please help.

is what i think is wrong you need an RGI sharpish

Please tell me what you think is wrong., you have now got me very worried. I have tried calling a Registered gas engineer today but they are very busy atm. If it is an emergency case, I am sure i could get an engineer out tomorrow.

its not gonna kill you

i don't think the combustion chamber cover is fitted properly

please don't mess with it

get an RGI

sounds like circulation issue however boiler may not be modulating down which may point to sensor/pcb try calling ferroli they operate a 190+vat boiler fix at least thats what it used to cost
