Hi, I'm new to this forum, and admit to not being a DIY person. I need some advice though and hope someone will be able to help.
In the last 6-9 months when we turn on the hot water taps, we get an awful screeching noise. We have a combi boiler, and the only way to avoid the noise is to turn the tap on at a low level, after a few moments we can turn it up a bit more. Especially frustrating is the shower where this method does not work at all - 7am in the morning and the noise is appalling! I'd appreciate if anyone could give any clues as to what this might be before I have to call out a plumber.
Many thanks, and I apologise if this is not the place for my question.
