I installed a Manrose extractor fan in my bathroom around 6 months ago. The back draft flaps inside the fan are driving us batty at night. Can they be removed, or is there a simple solution? Thanks

Out of interest, is the back draft shutter an inline separate component of the ducting or integrated into the fan?

In either case, I'm sure you could unclip is or worst case cut it out - but do you want to? If you hear it a lot it going to be awfully breezy without it?

Is it definitely an inline fan, so probably in the loft space and ducted?

Check the flaps, you may be able to increase the spring tension to make them more resistant to opening.

bit of a bodge but as above, bit of sticky foam, bluetack or dab of white silicon or decorators filler, placed out of sight to buffer the noise where they hit
