Hi - I need to wire a light with standard blue, yellow/green and brown wire into this ceiling fitting:

I can't seem to find any guide on which parts to add wires to. Apologies for the stupid question but every time I've tried to Google this the diagrams show many more wires.

Just match the colours! Your wiring is looped at the switch, which is why you have fewer wires than shown in the diagrams.

Am I hard of understanding this.
From the light fitting you have 3 wires.
They are coloured brown blue and green/yellow.

On the ceiling you also have 3 wires, They are also coloured brown blue and green/yellow.

Surely it's obvious that you connect the same colours together?

Do make sure you turn the power off first - even if you believe the light switch is in the "off" position.

That's what people usually do with ceiling roses. Then they come on here when the light is on all the time and trips the MCB when they operate the switch.
