Not lead here, right?

They are constantly reasessing the minimum levels that are allowed every few years. From reading it seems that there is no safe level, even a tiny bit will likely lower your IQ even if its an undetectable amount such as 0.1-1%.
Well that's me cream crackered, then. TBH I always run the water for a few minutes in the morning to clear the pipe out (and that's after flushing the loo), and we've had a carbon filter water jug for the last 25 years, so maybe not so bad after all. But it also helps explain the absolute bunch of loons we used to have living next door (you know the sort, "this is a local street for local people, are you local?"). Although that might just be inbreeding. Round here, in the Victorian perio, the they all used to play that game, you know, "Incest" - a game for ALL the family...

I should really look into a water filter even if the tests come back fine. It's all I drink after all, tap water all day. Even if other stuff isnt completely proven bad, if its concerning something I put in my body all day every day, it's worth a few quid.

Please research the facts about how the human body is affected by lead before posting.
Now that's not what I said is it.
Lead is a poison fact.
I was giving very good advice to the poster who was very worried that he could be poisoned by ingesting lead from his lead water service.
There are some real experts on here so please read their posts carefully and ye shall learn!

Getting lead poisoning from drinking water from a lead main is highly unlikely.
It's another scare myth from the snowflakes so don't panic.
The human body can easily process the small amount of lead that you will have taken inside your body from the lead service.

First post line three contains the answer:D!
The human body can process a small amount of lead that it may intake from a lead water service (it is able to eject it via your own body hair and finger/toenails).
So please do not lose anymore sleep over this one! :D
