Maybe stretching the meaning of 'notable' somewhat.
Well, if they make the papers/TV/news etc I suppose they are. Nobody on this forum would make a 'notable' except maybe Dork Lard who will have Alan Sugar, Bill Gates, Richard Branson et all commenting on what a loss he was and saying goodbye to another Titan of industry.

Very sad to hear this: 'Marshie' was a fantastic keeper and a very handy batsman in the middle order. I remember he once stood up (to the wicket) for the bowling of Dennis Lillee, which is a bit like catching a cannonball! A lot of guts, a lot of class.
