Rennie featured in the film Marvellous, which was about the Stoke city kitman Neil Baldwin. In the film Neil started his own football team in the local university, Uriah Rennie turned up to ref the first match they played, top bloke.

Brilliant author. I've enjoyed every one of his books and stories that I ever read. I started reading him after watching "The Day if the Jackal" and decided it might be a good read. It was. Maybe I should dust off his books I have and have a good read, and maybe fill in the gaps from the local Oxfam shop
