One of the main reasons I now have a front & rear dash cam fitted.
For some strange reason since fitting it I rarely have someone come up from behind and tailgate me. If they do get close they tend to quickly drop back and stay back till its perfectly safe to overtake.

Thing is, you don't actually need an engine to cause an expensive or life-threatening prang, as was demonstrated a while back. Touch wood I've never been hit on a crossing by a motorcyclist but I've been hit on the pavement by a lunatic pushbiker, and boy it hurt.

Though you reminded me, I bought a dashcam a while back but never got round to fitting it. Must do so.

An excellent example of why cyclists should be identifiable. A simple number plate registered with the DVLA and, of course, paid for by the cyclist. They should also have compulsory insurance too.

If these things were brought in, I imagine that most of them would be far less cocky.
