Hi,

I have a job where the worktop layout is an easy L shape. There is a sink to be fitted with the drainer on the right hand side.

Facing the worktop where the sink is to be fitted the female joint is on the right hand side and they would like the sink fitted with the drainer on the right as far right as possible. Which would be very close to the female joint.

Ive mentioned that this would not be possible because the clamps require a good 2" for the clamp to be fitted underneath to allow the worktop joints to be pulled up neatly. Also you would want a certain amount of material to pull up the joint as well.

Just wondered wether any one has done anything like this. One idea was to pull up the worktop with PVA glue let it go off then fit the sink after and fit flat plates on the bottom of the worktop.

Also I have done the joints with normal worktops are there any issues with OAK all is it just the same procedure and router bits.

Any suggestions appreciated.
