Oddity this morning in the bathroom

Hi,
I had a strange occurance this morning.
I was in the shower after the other half, it had been running for a total of approx 10 mins maybe 15. when it stopped. The hot water had stopped flowing to the shower (through a pump) and to the sink tap (direct). It was left for about 5 mins whilst I dried off etc and then it started running again.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what may have occurred?
and if so how serious and what i should look for?

Possibly cold storage cistern emptied due to slow filling but filled back up after 5mins to give you more hot. If it does it again check if the storage cistern has emptied. Could be sticking/partially choked ballvalve, nothing serious if it is.
