I am in need of a new front door with a side light, and was hoping to buy an off the shelf one to save a bit of money, but the only one I can find is approx 35mm to narrow (My opening measures 1255mm and the off the shelf door measures 1220mm - from Wickes). Is it possible to use packing to make this fit or would I be better off buying a made to measure one?

They do a profile which clipped onto the outer frame available in 5mm,10mm & 15mm thickness, not sure if Wickes do them

it's also called build-up, if you can get a good solid fix with the frames being 35mm narrow, just use upve trims to cover the gap, and then seal as per normal
