Need to some thing to get into the pockets in order to drill the pilot holes for the handle plates that i can then bolt in by hand


Was thinking of grinding square an old drill bit shank and trying to use a short handled tap wrench to make the pilot holes.
.
Might try that before buying anything
 
hows about large dowels instead off the metal handles
as in perhaps 22-30mm diameter and a though hole
 
It's called an angled chuck, but they're not that cheap. I think mine was off a metabo before I grafted it onto an old Bosch. Great for drilling holes in joists. DeWalt etc do cordless versions with a chuck.
