Oil-based floor paint on new concrete

Need to re-paint a typical garage floor, but it has recently had some areas patched with concrete.

Should I prime the new concrete with something first, or thin the paint, or something?

All help much appreciated.

You can buy clear concrete sealers that stop the dusting from the concrete. You can also as you say use a thinned down coat first, then full coats after. Either way will do the job.
