Hi, hope everyone is well. I’m here looking for some advise on my oil boiler. It has a eogb burner in it, it will run for a coupe minutes then lock out. There’s a click then about 10 seconds after it locks out. Can’t be un locked for about a minute, when there is a click heard and then you can re set and runs again for few minutes and locks out again.
Suspect after a search on here that it’s maybe a fault with the coil.

For sure, the solenoid coil can be problem, but usually manifests itself after getting nice and hot - 20 minutes running or whatever.
The lock out sequence is normal, but best to get the thing sorted by either substituting the coil (best move) or testing it's resistance immediately after it fails.
Has the boiler been serviced of late?
John :)
