Hello

I have an engineered oak oiled floor. Its a distressed cognac look. Its about 9 months old.

I cleaned it with Pledge wood floor cleaner but it was obviously the wrong product as it really dried out the wood. I want to re oil but which is the best oil to use?

I have heard Blanchon or Fiddes Hard Waxoil are good products but are they suitable for my floor and will they change the appearance much?

Any recommendations for cleaning products too?

Many thanks

HardWaxOils are not suitable for maintenance, they are only use on bare wood. Your floor needs a polish (wax-based), read here for more information about maintaining your floor
