Ok to use appliance hose instead of felxible hose?

I'm going to need to run some flexible hose to carry hot water from my utility room sink to kitchen sink. Can I use two washing machine inlet hoses coupled together instead of Speedfit flexible hose? Would be a lot cheaper but wonder of there are any good reasons why not.

why not use a garden hose and a couple of jubilee clips

Speedfit and other plastic pipe/fittings does the job properly.

So doitright why bodge it.
