Outside I have an old rubble and stone garden wall, which needs some repair. Most of it to be honest is simple pointing, but some needs rebuilding where its fallen to bits over the years of too much ivy growth.

On my inside walls I've used lime as both a pointing material and plaster, but it is expensive of course. The garden wall is not so precious and it doesn't need to 'breath' so I was wondering what the best material was. Should I still use lime or is a concrete mix ok?

Any thoughts please
